Research

I am going to research the following theorist: Vladimir, Tzvetan Tordorov ,Claude Levi-strauss and the Roland Barthers .

Vladmir was a Russian  was a Russian film critic and he came up with a Theory called the 7 Character Roles believes that there are 7 different types of characters involved in order to have a successful drama.  The Villain is an important character as it is always in confrontation with the hero. Another character is magical helper this helps create the hero. Another character that Vladimir thought is important is the Princess and the hero has to try to save the her. In the end the hero and princess end up happy ever after. His theory created about fairy tales and examples where this theory is adapted is Romeo and Juliet.

Tzvetan Tordorov is a Belgium theorist; he believes that characters should be set in a fictional scene. In order for it to be successful there must be disruption within the scene in order to create a story.  He also believes that characters must solve a problem, in order for there to be a hero to be created.

Claude Levi-straus is French theorist and he left a legacy with his knowledge; came up with the Binary Opposition, he believed that it is important to understand a meaning of a world. He believes that words have two meanings against them. An example of this , would be left and right and front and back .

Roland Barthes has  created the 5 codes to make an successful narrative. He believes that the story should not be fully explained. The Proaretic Code is there must be tension in order for there to be tension to be created. The semantic Code is the story must have some meaning behind it . Another code he created is The Symbolic Code  it is similar to another code however there is more drama and enthusiasm added. The last code is  the Culture Code  the narrative piece can include an element or science to make it seem realistic .
